Kanye West is about to release his second Futuristic shoe collection with Nike. It will be named “Air Yeezy 2″. He is already promoting this upcoming street fashion release, and we can already see many celebs in those shoes from Amber Rose to Jay Z. So we decided to post few pictures of few pieces from upcoming collection. I thought you might like it. – Cora.

- “Any ‘Back to the Future’ fan may note a similarity between the Nike Air Yeezys and Marty McFly’s 2015 light up, self-lacing kicks. Of course, Kanye’s shoes don’t seem to lace themselves, but most buyers of this retro-futuristic gem will be too young for back problems anyway, (and too cool to need laces.)

The lack of embedded blue lights on the sides and back, however, did leave me disappointed to some degree. I remember wearing light up shoes in the second grade, and expect to have at least the same technology in a $100 plus pair of Nikes. That’s right, they aren’t available quite yet, but fakes are going for $135, which says more than enough about the actual shoe’s value.

The image above, courtesy of kicksonfire.com, pictures one of four colorways to be available upon retail release; a nod of the head to the original Air Jordans, by the blue and orange. A tan version, a black and white, and a white and gray colorway will also be available, but the only pictures so far are of Yeezy himself wearing them on tour.

The above picture also contains a breakdown of the shoes which inspired the Air Yeezys, and yes, similarities arise. The collaboration between the cowhide boots and the Air Jordans are duly noted, but keep in mind, Kanye has an obsession with Daft Punk, DeLoreans, and other futuristic, flamboyant memorabilia, so it’s not hard to see where he gets his ideas.

Either way, Kanye West has proven himself yet again as a powerful force in pop culture; Nike doesn’t make these kinds of deals with just anyone. I can only hope more colorways will be available shortly as I wasn’t too impressed with the original lineup. I expect some mind-blowing pastels from a guy like this, but hey, I’m sure he’s working on it. I won’t argue; Kanye’s got style, and apparently knows exactly what he’s doing. I just have to wonder if Michael J. Fox regrets not thinking this up first” -

P.P.S. We LOVE her new look! Her new style, and music, and hair =) It kinda like mixture of Futuristic / PUNK / POP – just awesome! =) And Skrillex told on MTV exclusive interview:

- “The more the stuff that is underground becomes mainstream, the more the underground is gonna change,” Skrillex explained Monday. “I think it’s gonna inspire people to obviously do something different.”

Los Angeles-based Skrillex, born Sonny Moore, has a background in the post-hardcore metal scene, but in the past two years, has achieved popular success in the EDM world. He signed with deadmau5′s mau5trap records and, toward the end of 2010, released a slew of dubstep singles that topped beatport.com’s chart, even holding eight positions on the dance-music site’s top 10 at one point.

“I thought the track ["Against Me"] was great overall,” the face of popular new dubstep said. “I’ll be honest, man: I love Max Martin. I think he’s an absolute genius. And Dr. Luke did it, right? I think they are a f—ing dream team. I love the track!

“I thought the dubstep part was unnecessary,” he continued. “Not to say it was done wrong. I feel like it was very self-aware and consciously put in there to be ‘the dubstep part.’ I can see a lot of people getting pissed about it — the purist dubstep and drum and bass fans — but at the end of the day, it’s cool that people are trying new things. Sooner or later, anything that happens in the underground — be it watered down or not — it always makes itself into the mainstream. It’s cool to hear.”

To Spears’ credit, Skrillex, who it would seem couldn’t come from a more opposite musical background than Spears, spoke of her legacy.

“I really respect her,” he admitted. “From being a Mouseketeer to all the controversial stuff and to all the stuff she has been through. She does have an incredible legacy and an incredible story. The fact that she is still making records just says a lot.”
